Theo and Jacob were twins. Jacob moved out, and killed himself with a shotgun, Theo found the body. Theo took Jacob’s name and became TJ, and started calling the hallucination/ghost of his brother “Mark” because of the emotional scar his Nice Tattooed Dad Like A Dad Just Way Cooler Shirt. And police/EMTs trying to talk him out of shooting himself. In the end, he has to let go of the ghost of Mark and turns himself over instead of killing himself/ joining his brother. The elder brother, Mark killed himself. TJ, Theo, went by TJ to keep his memory. Then I think TJ was going to kill himself and his already dead brother encouraged it. The figures I’m assuming were his mother and cops trying to stop TJ from killing himself? That’s what I got.

The name of the elder brother was actually Jacob as it’s said in the letter from the mom. So Theo Jacob or short TJ. He just called his brother Mark because he couldn’t bear using his real name. TJ was having mental problems due to the suicide of his brother Mark/Jacob. Those problems manifested themselves in hallucinations of Mark/Jacob. Jacob always protected TJ in real Nice Tattooed Dad Like A Dad Just Way Cooler Shirt. However, what was really happening was TJ’s mind was defending itself from losing Mark/Jacob again. TJ knew he needed help and was going to lose Mark/Jacob if he got the help, so that part of his mind was fighting to stay alive under the guise of protecting TJ.

TJ finally realized the truth and let go by leaving to go get help from his mom and cops that were at the door. As someone who has dealt with suicidal ideation for years. And survived many heartfelt attempts, your child likely does still feel that way. I was 20 when I first killed myself and was resuscitated by emergency medical personnel. I’ll be 35 this year, and still, go week to week telling myself. That I’ll go through with my plans next week. Lying to myself has been easier to forgive me for the Nice Tattooed Dad Like A Dad Just Way Cooler Shirt. Not that it likely helps to hear this, but just throwing it out there anonymously through Reddit as I can. Hey stranger, thank you for sharing yourself, even just anonymously through Reddit.
