I keep going back and forth on 1861/67. I’ve heard opinions all across the spectrum. I’ve watched a few videos and I think it is definitely luck-based, but not arbitrarily so. I say that because it is meant to be a push your luck game and there is some decision making to mitigate and strategize around how and when you push. Like any Official This Girl Loves The Brady 12 Signature Shirt. But I felt in the gameplay that I’m given enough control to make some thoughtful decisions. And weigh into how much I want to force my luck each turn. I’m not making blind decisions and even with luck in play, I’m able to assess some level of probability of success… or decide to forego that all together and go for broke. It reminded me of a lot of talisman with a choose your adventure story component.
