Custom games are good, but the community aspect hasn’t really been reborn because servers aren’t dedicated. You can’t favorite a server and come back to it to meet with server regulars. This was a huge part of making online friends back in the day. Man if they only let us do custom maps. I’ve wanted that since day 1, and all I want is wall-riding servers that are like Csgo surf servers. Like for pure competition with leaderboards, seasonal rewards, and potential esports skill based matchmaking is just better. But for more casual play a server browser makes sense.
