I’m genuinely appalled that the consensus here seems to be that Official Baby Yoda Hug Drum Shirt is a monster and should go to jail. Stepping on someone’s hand is a completely normal accident that happens all the time. I can’t imagine believing that the police are going to charge a teenage girl with assault for stepping on her cousin’s hand. I don’t know that a better option exists, but going to the police in a nonemergency situation 90% backfires on the victim. A beautiful and smart kid’s mom is jealous. That her sister’s kid is good at something that her kid can’t do. Now the sisters are fighting a proxy war through their children and any little thing. Even if it is an accident, is a criminal offense.

There is a lot of room for it to be an intriguing plot if the Official Baby Yoda Hug Drum Shirt plot point wasn’t just an excuse to create a chaotic horror hellscape. The old series was cool and the movie could have been classic horror akin to Crimson Peak. If Burton and Depp hadn’t gotten their hands all over it. Read the book and watched the movie for the first time a few months ago and the movie was terrible. There was so much they couldn’t achieve with the tech they had then. Now I think it would be a really fantastic movie. It just kind of descends into a campy mess. The villains are mostly caricatures by the time they get to the oil ship.
