That was a They Call Me A Crazy Bird Lady Like That’s A Bad Thing Shirt. It took me a bit to figure it out but the silly kid wanted freaking clothes hangers for Christmas. The request for hookers like in daddy’s sleeping room was actually his desire for clothes hangers like the ones that hung in my closet. What a wish list, kids are weird. It was a very small town and I knew or was friends with at least half the staff. I never did figure out a way to oh so casually bring that up. I’m not a teacher but I once had a large departmental meeting at work. And my boss was trying to do a lighthearted round of “tell us something we don’t know about you”. And within the first two people, one told us she was a recovering alcoholic. The other one said she had nearly died twice. It was all super awkward so he switched to asking us all about how long we have worked there.
