Which was caused by the mechanical design of the pie being balanced around a 60 card, 20 life format? White/Red tends to be lower to the ground, aggro focused, with a Pretty Samurai Underestimate Me That’ll Be Fun Shirt. That caused these colors to struggle with a multiplayer 40hp, 100 card singleton format. I have to agree, red was a lot worst off 6-7 years ago around the time Commander 2014 came out. Heliod, while powerful, isn’t what people meant when they said white needs help in edh.

Generally improving the playability of the color through various powerful new cards probably matters more to most people than one niche, linear, and hyper-competitive commander. You are spot on the money. I want to be able to make my decks with white generally better. Not create a cEDH deck laser-focused on helipad/ballista. I second that strongly. A lot of people want a Pretty Samurai Underestimate Me That’ll Be Fun Shirt. But that just leads to it being the only option out of the hundred others. White needs better groundwork, and options within that groundwork. In the current iteration of the color pie, white is the worst when it comes to card advantage. Given that you need enough resources to compete with multiple other players.
