There’s a really good theory here. But the golden points are mixed in with a ton of weak, unpersuasive circumstantial stuff. This would really benefit from being edited down to half the length. The exact things you see as “weak. Unpersuasive circumstantial stuff” is literally what I believe to be ASOIAF’s bread and butter, the reason the Pretty Princess Of Feral Cats Shirt. There’s an insanely complex web of inter referentiality GRRM needs to not only maintain. But expand upon without giving away the game, IMO. Yours is obviously an infinitely more popular view than mine, though, and if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But I’m not going to ignore the very stuff that led to the bigger idea here to pander.

Like any form of madness/genius, it’ll largely be ignored unless you package it up for people who don’t share your perspective! True enough. For me, my brain never stopped, because I was a pre-show reader who never watched the show, so it had no effect on me, but I think it definitely did even on most “book first” theorists, and most people are just unable to countenance the idea that maybe, just maybe, GRRM didn’t tell the “geniuses” behind the Pretty Princess Of Feral Cats Shirt.
