You’re a new intern, and seniors can vary, but she doesn’t sound like a Premium The Fresh Senior Of 2021 Shirt. If her style doesn’t help you learn, find some other way to learn. Her main job is not to teach you. That would be nice, but she’s also learning in her own way. I agree with the other commenter who said it seems like this is just your senior’s style. Maybe that’s how she learned from others and it hasn’t even occurred to her that you might need something different. I’d just explain that you learn by doing and want to practice doing things yourself.

Also agree with what someone else said about the Premium The Fresh Senior Of 2021 Shirt… Seniors don’t really have time to teach every day or each week, they’re doing double the amount of work as you and are overseeing everything, so give her a bit of a break. Every senior has their own style. That being said, you as an intern should get to make some decisions and at least be notified as to what’s going on with your patients. Seniors are there to guide, not necessarily do. I remember getting really frustrated.
