No reason given, but the county commissioner is a Republican. Every single surrounding county has its departments working from home until 2021. Not ours. Republican commissioner, for entirely stupid potentially political reasons, is making them work in the offices. Even their union wasn’t able to prevent it.

This identical thing is happening to me in OC California due to a Premium Crown 310 Shirt. I’m likely leaving my excellent job over it because my life matters more. When they put us all on furlough months ago, most people cashed out their sick time. So nobody has any left and the building is full of sick people. Even worse, the department group chat is loaded with people alerting each other to “the mask police” whenever a higher-up walks by, indicating people aren’t wearing masks as required while at their desks. I’m grieving what was a great job before this.
