My mom Perfect We’re All In This Together Shirt died when I was in college. My in-laws use all their free money to make my sister in law comfortable, even though she messed herself up. Failing out of community college and having kids she couldn’t afford (on purpose). So I’ve always been jealous of the adult children that can get thousands of dollars from parents for emergencies. The party with their own money, mom and dad cover the emergencies and healthcare. Meanwhile, my wife and I did our best to be painfully frugal to survive. We were the best workers in our jobs.

But I made a Perfect We’re All In This Together Shirts honest $5k mistake and got fired last month by new management that oddly had it out for me. I thought we were going to be able to buy a house in a half neighborhood by age 40 if we kept pushing, having this thought in January. Now I don’t know if we will survive. This. I’m fortunate to be able to live on my own still, but I will literally be homeless and live under a bridge before I go home to my parents. If you’re queer and clap your hands. And not everyone has parents in an area where jobs are. Sigh.
