The reason I’m in town, in case you’re wondering, is because of a Kansas City Shuffle. The way he pauses so distinctly for that middle part is one of my favorite Willis moments in everything he’s ever done. It was the second time Bruce Willis starred in a re-telling of Yojimbo. Last Man Standing was the first.

Edgar Wright is a fucking genius and has made a masterpiece out of this movie. The Official You Know You’re Norwegian When God Jul You Celebrate Christmas Shirt, the soundtrack, and the beautiful way he works the sounds into the music that’s playing. There’s nothing that tops it for me! People can say what they want about the movies but the soundtrack always throws me back to my first time watching as a kid. Not to mention the Christmas scenes, always get me in a festive mood, even in summer. All these movies are good ones but for me it’s Twister. Yes, it’s total shit, but it’s so watchable. There’s just something about the wide-open farmlands, the mass of sky and Bill Paxton. If I’m channel surfing late at night and it’s on, it stays on. Oh and that goes for Dante’s Peak too. They’re like comfortable slippers.

Once for our birthday we blew up an air mattress to camp outside and pulled a tv out from my dad’s office to watch the movie while we camped. That was one of my favorite memories. I had to see it when they did a showing in the theater. It was so wonderful! Such a wonderful movie! Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. The opening attack on coruscant looks epic and from that point on you know it’s going to be great.
