I expected it to be one of those fun action flicks that I would forget about in 2 weeks. He didn’t expect one of the greatest action movies of all time. Robert De Niro really topped it off for me. I was scrolling through this post looking for this movie specifically. It’s always the first to come to mind when someone asks a question like this. Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick were both fun, but goddamn if you didn’t play Escape from Butcher Bay, you missed out for sure. It is one of the best movies of all time in my opinion. Especially given the fact that they aired different endings at different theaters.

Really sad the way Sabrina ended up going. I love cheesy 80s-90s action, so the original was one of my all-time favorites. I’m so glad I was wrong. My partner and I live in LA, and he works in a very well-funded medical research lab. Stallone is one of many private backers for the lab.

It was so emotionally charged I felt drained by the end, but I loved every moment. I and a friend watched this after coming home from the bar. He thought it was one of the best movies I had seen that year. My mind was blown. The scene where Christopher Johnson holds his child as they ascend to the space ship brought both me and my buddy to tears, but he’d never admit this. It’s so incredible and something that is almost impossible to pull off in any other movie.
