Being new to this, I have questions. Why would go to the airport be more advantageous than bugging out by vehicle to get out of town? I get Kashmir’s situation but presuming you’re in the US. Wouldn’t it be more to your advantage to bug out by car or just hunker down for a while? Very true, but that truth may have blinded us to the Official Revocation Stay Home Skull Shirt. Off the top of my head, I reminded of all the Canadians who were evacuated by plane from the fires a few years ago. Bugging out by car is limited in range and depending on when roads. And gas stations fill up fast. So depending on the reason for bugging out there are pros and cons.

IMO, a plan that depends on not bugging out via air travel is as bad as a plan that depends on bugging out via air travel. Both are not good. I’m 40 minutes from the airport, and it would definitely not be in my top 10 list of bug-out routes. But I have no idea what’s going to happen and why, so I definitely don’t want to take that off the table or make it more difficult than it has to be to do that if I need to. I try to “be prepared” more so than “be prepared for the end of the world” so things like currency on handwork daily, whereas gold coins are functionally useless until they aren’t.
