Not positive this is the same guy because I didn’t get a good look at him other than his race. Last weekend, near the 30th Avenue stop, he kept pacing with his cane on and off the sidewalk. He then abruptly picked up his cane and started “shooting” everyone walking by screaming that he was going to kill all of us. I hope he’s able to get some help though I’m not sure he’d accept it. Is this the resident psychopath who wears an Official Mardi Gras Lip Biting Shirt? He can be very aggressive and there were times I prepared to defend myself as he got closer and louder. I just kept walking and ignored his screaming. I’m surprised he hasn’t been assaulted by someone yet.

Yea he’s known as “the king.” He’s been doing this for years. He’s getting more aggressive and hitting people now. He needs to be knocked out soon. Also don’t think he’s actually homeless bc he’s always wearing new clean clothes. So maybe he’s from the Official Mardi Gras Lip Biting Shirt. And I’ve seen the cops ignore him many times as he does his walk. Huh, good to know. Confirms my suspicion that the cops are fully aware of him but won’t do anything unless he seriously hurts someone. Maybe instead of “won’t”, it’s “can’t”. This city will overindulge shitty behavior until it reaches crisis proportions, at which point they then blame “systemic racism”. And that is definitely reflected in the marching orders the NYPD gets.

I’ve hesitated to call the police because I’ve had some bad experiences with them in the past and I’m kind of skittish. I’ve called 911 for help on two different occasions. The first time it took 3 hours for anyone to show up and I had to subdue someone having an Official Mardi Gras Lip Biting Shirt. Another time a cop walked past me on the street while I was waiting for an ambulance. I asked him to help (a man had collapsed in a crosswalk) and the officer told me to “shut my fucking mouth.” In this case, though, I really do think I should at least file a report. A friend of mine just told me he’s seen him targeting other women and had to intervene. I would hate to see someone get hurt and for him to get away with it.
