For me, it’s because Corden works so hard at being sincere that it comes across as insincere. Official KISS Rock And Roll All Nite Shirt can’t watch him without a gut reaction. I can’t stand Carpool Karaoke for this reason. Also, I think the concept overall is pretty cringy, but I’m definitely in the minority because people seem to eat it up. I enjoy his personality, he seems like a cheerful guy, and I love musical theater and he’s a great singer and performer. I’m sure if I Google him I’ll find something bad about him but in terms of his performances, I enjoy. I cannot understand why tv company here in Finland bought one season of his late-night show. Prolly got it really cheap.
