Absolutely hammered in Baton Rouge a few times and can confirm. Most civilized tailgates devolved to what you describe. LSU fans are super welcoming tailgaters btw when visiting Baton Rouge. Just avoid the students. If we get rid of the cheer then so be it. But uh… a Black player was the one who created it. Lawrence Wright. I mean, I would be pissed too if I “was planning to launch a line of bobbleheads, shirts and No. 4 jerseys with the Official Gator Bait Shirt”. I don’t necessarily agree with the University getting rid of the cheer but he also has a financial stake in this. Oddly, Fuchs is the German word for fox, phonetically pronounced “fooks”. So he’s got the right translation at least.
Gator Bait Shirt, Tank Top, V-neck, Ladies Tee For Men And Women
This would be my most major concern with how we proceed in progressing the world. Obviously “progress” is progress, so there’s nothing wrong in trying to achieve it. But if our mindset causes us to play some extreme mental gymnastics. That’s also a problem because we’ll lose track of what’s really an Official Gator Bait Shirt. In this case, a chant that a black player created that most people probably didn’t even know could have even the slightest tie-in to racism, I would think it’s better to consult with people first about getting rid of it if there’s even a hint of concern. Just a blanket “Oh, we’re getting rid of it” just like that sounds a bit reactionary. Lawrence Wright made it popular but it definitely predated him at UF.
Official Gator Bait Sweatshirt, Hoodie
Pesky facts? Who cares about that stuff right now. I honestly think people are going out and finding every little thing they deem “offensive”, tweet/post about it and let the cancel culture mob do the rest. I don’t know what “cancel culture mob” you’re talking about. Because literally no one asked for this change. There was a protest held last week with a few demands and “chants” were never even mentioned. This is UF admins trying to stir shit up to avoid making actually impact changes. I’m just sad. That chant is such an ingrained and great reminder of the Official Gator Bait Shirt. The only picture of myself at my first Gator game 20 years ago is me holding up my arms, ready to chomp, and yell Gator bait.
