My President, the president of France is on the phone. They are signing a peace treaty with the Martians. I just went through the Neon Museum in Las Vegas, which was doing a Tim Burton tribute with original art. Mars Attacks was well represented. I still think of the trailer for the Nice Raiders And Los Angeles Laker Inside Heart Shirt. Some older woman exclaiming gleefully in a raspy voice, “HA! They blew up Congress!” I wish there was a gif….er something. So I highly recommend the 1936 Fritz Lang movie Fury starting her and Spencer Tracy. I can hear that voice in my head perfectly. It’s forever cemented in there right next to the “It’s the leaning tower of cheese-ah” line from The Goofy Movie.

“Mars Attacks” star Martin Short wrote and performed in a satirical Broadway musical called “Fame Becomes Me.” The conceit was that, since Short has lived a relatively staid and uninteresting life, he’s going to make up a sordid autobiography for himself. And reenact it with a cast of the Nice Raiders And Los Angeles Laker Inside Heart Shirt. God strikes him dead for dishonesty. And the cast has to journey to heaven to persuade the patron saint of show business to send Martin Short back to life. It’s a weird show. One of the jokes in his “parade of lies” number is about sleeping with Sylvia Sidney. I always thought it was just a very niche insider reference.

And didn’t realize until now that they actually did a major movie together. The way the Martian king or emperor tricks the President with the handshake was fantastic. The perfect ending to a good speech. And a Nice Raiders And Los Angeles Laker Inside Heart Shirt pays off to them collecting Michael J. Fox’s hand! Whoa, I never put that together and I’ve watched it too many times to count. I haven’t watched this movie in over a decade probably, but when we’re feeling particularly silly my husband and I will have brief ‘conversations’ in Ack. Always makes me giggle. I’ll never get enough of hearing the Martians talk. Yeah, that cast is insane, especially for that type of movie. It’s a peak-90s cast.

Quality fabric! I was surprised at the weight of the cotton. I expected it to be thin (considering the price), instead it was a quality weight.

Doesnt shrink in the washing machine (cold and dryer) and doesnt seem to fade or look like the thread is peeling after several wears.
