I follow the reopening process, get confirmation that the request has been received, check-in online every day for advancement to the ‘certify’ stage, and then bam, every 3 days it’s like my account reverts and I am told I need to reopen my existing claim. My claim is good till 10/24/20 and has money in it. Not sure what the problem is but would love some knowledge if someone has some to share. I did not receive severance and received my first unemployment direct deposit. But the two weeks after that I was told I was not eligible.

They may only choose to hire certain employees back and maybe just cut 50 to save money and slowly build their way back up. And while they’re slowly building their way back up they may put a position out here and there in which like 100+ people will be competing for. The unemployment will help that 100+ ease there way back into the workforce. Hazard pay for essential employees would be a pretty good addition to the bill though.
