This is a legitimate consideration for my Dia De Los Muertos Vintage Mexican Holiday Shirt. I currently work for a Dutch company. And I’m keeping my eyes on the job board for opportunities. I struggle with leaving friends and family here, but unless Trump loses in a landslide in November (which probably isn’t going to happen). I’ve lost a lot of hope for the direction this country is headed in. You seem to have some positive thoughts on the Netherlands. Are there any considerations that I may not be thinking of that was a surprise to you? How are you liking it abroad? Best and worst aspects (besides missing family)? If Trump wins again I don’t think I can stay here.

OP but as a tip: do put effort into the Dia De Los Muertos Vintage Mexican Holiday Shirt! You can get around with English just fine, but socially Dutch people much prefer to speak their own language, of course. Some ex-pats don’t bother to learn the language at all. Because everyone understands English ok, and then are surprised when Dutchies don’t invite them to come to hang out often. Don’t worry about being bad at first, it’s a tricky language and you’ll have an obvious accent, but people will respect you much more if they see you’re putting effort in.
