I’ve always wondered what the relationship was like between gurus and air nomads like if the gurus lived in the temples with them or if they were just disciples that studied the air nomads but the guru says he knew monk Gyatso so he must have had some sort of contact with the air temples. I always imagined Guru Pathik as a sort of predecessor to the air acolytes. He appears to have had contact with the air nomads when they were around and knew of their teachings, but he also could go off on his own and do his own thing.

My guess is he was probably pretty De Plor A Ble Hard Working God Loving American Patriot Shirt.
