That is so you become compliant, to the Cats Driver Hippie On A Dark Desert Highway Cool Wind In My Hair Shirt. As long as they continue on making you nervous and uncomfortable, you want them to stop. And so to end the convo, eventually, you will say “ok” to their suggestion. And then you are really in hot water, especially if you get into a car with them. So it is up to you to say “NO! YOU ARE BOTHERING ME!” Better to develop an aggressive you.
