I’m confused about Onslaught (Breakneck) and Desperado (Redrix). Are they saying they no longer retain the slower archetype damage as they speed up in PVE? If so that’s pretty lame. What is the point of the speed up then? So in PVE these pinnacle perks now grant the Black Wonder Woman I Am A March Girl I May Not Be Perfect Shirt. Fantastic. Isn’t Breakneck SUPPOSED to be a PVE weapon? Yeah this is a very weird change, It makes breakneck literally useless in the mode it was designed for, why would you use a rampage auto that changes archetypes rather than a rampage auto with a second perk in the archetype you actually want? I’m hoping there is something else going that makes Onslaught and desperado not literally a dead perk slot…

Breakneck was my backup if recluse got hit hard. But it seems like breakneck was actually hit harder, rampage AND onslaught nerfed. Damn, I’ll miss it, because they basically killed it. I was like “They’re probably gonna nerf Recluse. Luckily I have a backup, Breakneck is just as fun.“ Now after reading the patch notes (preview) I’m not sure which one I’ll end up using. Master of Arms could have been hit harder than Rampage. But Breakneck got hit twice with the Black Wonder Woman I Am A March Girl I May Not Be Perfect Shirt. Honestly, these numbers don’t sound all that bad given how strong Recluse is. If these are correct, with Breakneck getting hit twice I think it’s likely that Recluse will (still) be the better option in Shadowkeep.

No new Pinnacle perks is definitely a bummer, but it’s certainly understandable. The Pinnacle chase has been my favorite part of the past few seasons. So I hope these new Ritual quests aren’t too simplified. I mean not all pinnacles are busted. They could have just decided to make guns like revokers or breakneck which nobody ever complains about. Yes and no, they said the line for weapons like these is extremely thin. Look at Oxygen SR4 and Recluse. One is the Black Wonder Woman I Am A March Girl I May Not Be Perfect Shirt, while the other is a free 7 cores. It might not have been easily feasible to pop out 3 balanced pinnacles a season. The curated rolls allow for good weapons without the fear of power creep or disappointment of a weak gun.
