I’m in the same boat. Lost all my income from delivery driving this week. I went and stocked up on vodka. And then of course. Because I’m a piece of a shit loser I drank so much of it I’m embarrassed. And in Ontario, the liqueur is sold by the government. So I assume they’ll close soon for liability reasons. I built my reserve back in February when I realized if it got to western Europe. It was definitely getting here. We don’t have liquor stores here in the UK, it’s sold all over the place. I wonder when we’ll start to shut down specific shops, or specific aisles, like the booze aisles. This is why I have been trying it on with G&T and red wine all day every day since I lost all my work … I have nowhere to go where I have to be sober. So I may as well stay home drunk. Live in Virginia and bought 5 handles. They’re state-run so they’ll close. Close enough to DC that if stores stay open there I’ll be OK, but nowhere in the region is a combined food/liquor store, so I’m fucked. Maryland has strange liquor laws. But the closest county is all county-run and most likely going to close soon too. Hard times folks. I bought 5 handles, hid 3 in my car. The liquor store here in CA had people literally grocery shopping in it getting hella ramen eggs milk and of course booze. Never seen that many people in my local liquor store.
