Just to add, in Western Western NC BBQ ribs are much more of a mainstay, as are sweet, thick, tomato-based sauces (not too different from KC style). 5 Bones in Asheville is relatively new, but probably the flagship for this style (and Obama’s favorite NC joint). FWIW I prefer Eastern or Lexington style most of the time. But I’m from the mountains so I’ve gotta stand up for the other NC BBQ. Hey, I grew up around Asheville, I’m all for it! Man, can you imagine CP3 and Curry sharing a backcourt? Curry’s shooting ability makes him probably the best off-ball player in the league if he were so inclined. With one of the greatest PGs of all time feeding him the ball and getting him open? Lordy, Lordy, dude would be averaging like 7 threes a game.
