Super happy to see another service industry person doing a diary. The majority of the diaries are high earners with office jobs, which is fine and somewhat aspirational. But I’m a struggling 23-year-old with two food jobs who needed this, so thanks. Great job on your repayment strategies! In what ways do you want your financials to look different before you try for law school? From a Baby Yoda Drink Wine Makes Me Happy You Not So Much Star Wars Shirt. So I can take out the loans to go to law school. Getting my student loans sorted out is a huge milestone on the journey for me. I also definitely agree about wishing there was a little more diversity in the diaries!

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but if you’ve never worked an office job. I highly recommend trying to find something in a Baby Yoda Drink Wine Makes Me Happy You Not So Much Star Wars Shirt. Not sure what your goal job is after law school, but in my experience, the actual practice of law is quite a shock for people who have never worked in the field before. I would hate to see you (or anyone) spend the money and effort to get through law school without having some idea of what you are getting into and then finding out you absolutely hate it after the fact. It’s a pricey mistake to make and it happens a lot. I’m hoping to get a paralegal job sometime this year and stick to serving one or two nights a week.

I really loved your diary and it’s so neat to read one from someone working in F&B rather than an office job. I love how generous you are with tipping at places too (most F&Bers seem to be). And you just seem like a nice person! I hope the therapy continues to help and the Baby Yoda Drink Wine Makes Me Happy You Not So Much Star Wars Shirt. Thanks for your positive words! My minimum is 20%, and if it really seems like a server is trying (no matter the quality of the service) I tip more. There are ap many reasons service can go awry – from having a bigger section than one can handle poor management to having a new guy in the kitchen. It’s very rarely (solely) the server’s fault.
