My opinion is it’s the single most overrated Cali burrito, and I’ve had both their normal one and their specialty burrito. The atmosphere and reputation cannot redeem what I’ve found to be a relatively bland, sour-cream inundated meal. Meats good, but man do they pack on the Official Yes I Am Old But I Saw Ramones On Stage Signatures Shirt. The specialty Cali burrito, one with ground beef and South American marinade was a can of beans in a tortilla. I personally think their claim to fame is their surf and turf and not their straight California. I do understand where you’re coming from as I think there are better places for a straight California burrito. The aesthetic is weird yea, but out of every Mexican place I’ve been to, it’s been my fav for Cali burritos.
