My local store, which is quite small, has the same prices as Amazon. So I normally search online and buy it there. Just a tip, you can often buy B&N gift cards online for a discount. Card cash is currently selling them at 95% of face value. That might narrow the gap somewhat. As an adult, I have a library card at a library with a large Overdrive collection, so I eventually read almost anything I want. I actually don’t mind long hold times because there is plenty else to read, and it’s a fun surprise when the book is suddenly available.

I’ve never had any luck with used bookstores. 03 Darrynton Evans Signature Appalachian State Mountaineers Shirt always go into them with high hopes and then realize they’re filled with most romance novels and books no one wants to read. If they have a good selection of the books you want they’re awesome. The only used bookstore near me caters heavily to the local university and is full of used textbooks and required/recommended reading for courses. Great for students and they do good business but I rarely find anything I’m interested in.
