To say it doesn’t resemble its original source would probably be the Rip Junior Johnson Vintage Signature December 20 2019 Nascar Shirt thing I could say about it. I love reboots but a lot of these are coming out as pure cash grabs, especially cult classics because the fan base is smaller so when you complain about it is a higher chance of it falling on deaf ears from the business end. I knew this show was good when I was a kid, but as an adult I’m amazed at how well produced, written, drawn and planned it is. This show alone was well worth the price of a subscription!

The appeal of the 90s cartoons was in part to the art and largely the story. Gargoyles were, at the time, a darker cartoon sometimes doing real-life reflections, like the infamous gun violence episode. Please keep it that way, new characters new stories, but don’t as this brought tone that most reboots do. Keep it gloomy. For anyone who’s never seen this show in its entirety, I can’t stress enough how much you should watch the whole thing. It starts out as a generic cartoon, but the story gets unbelievably deep.

The rest of the show involves the Gargoyles adjusting to modern life, looking for any survivors of their clan, and dealing with some truly awesome villains. Because I don’t think they’ll be able to recapture what they did in the original, and any new series will just draw endless comparisons to the original. I’d rather spare my favorite series that pain and have it remain an example of how Action cartoons should be made going forward.

I hope it’s just that it wasn’t a beloved property for Weisman, and Rip Junior Johnson Vintage Signature December 20 2019 Nascar Shirt just an example of what someone can do if they’re just putting in hours or if they’re working on a passion project. Because wow, those novels are epically bad. It has a bigger audience than that. I am 45 and watched it when it aired originally. It has a huge Star Trek fan base as well. Not everything needs a reboot. We can not again watch this show and for those around my age share with our kids for the first time. We don’t need a bunch of people who never watched the show remaking it into something awful and unrecognizable from the original.
