I’m honestly shocked by that. I’ve played on dozens of hockey teams from a kid up to beer leagues now and Official Pretty Baby Groot Hug MSV Duisburg Shirt never once heard a racial slur in the dressing room. People have thrown banana peels at black players and show up to all-native hockey tournaments just to taunt them. If I remember correctly was there not an incident with Wayne Simmonds when a banana peel was thrown on the ice. I remember he went down and scored which was awesome, shoved it right up their hoop with that one.

There are racist idiots everywhere, Official Pretty Baby Groot Hug MSV Duisburg Shirt when something racist happens it sticks out like a sore thumb. So say the sport as a whole has a problem with racism is a ridiculous claim. Don’t let a few cases clump everyone in the hockey community together. Honestly, the perfect example is a video of Brian Burke and Patrick Burke talking about Brendan Burke that I can never seem to find after I watched it once. Honestly, it’s time the sport comes to terms with its problems with racism and homophobia. The culture around the sport is amazing and it hurts to see it have such an ugly side.
Official Pretty Baby Groot Hug MSV Duisburg Sweatshirt, Hoodie
I regret not having said anything now that I’m older. Official Pretty Baby Groot Hug MSV Duisburg Shirt like kid me was scared of getting benched. Hazed for standing up for someone. He was a year ahead of me and when he graduated the hate started turning towards french. Having a racism problem doesn’t just mean having racists, it also means a lack of consequences for being racist. I hate this kind of garbage. Treat it on a case by case basis, don’t collectively vilify a sport and community. The Beaverton can hide behind their satire label, but at the end of the day, they’re still making a clear statement. Hockey is a sport filled with racism.
