I think it would make more sense if the mentions of the game earlier on are for a different version than what we are introduced to in 15 Million Merits. Less intensely dystopian. Unfortunately, the hints throughout the show make OP’s timeline more accurate. It would be interesting if all the Top If Lost Or Drunk Please Return To Jennifer Shirt. Merits were the genetically subpar humans from Men Against Fire. In a twisted way, I could see the government considering it a humane way of dealing with them besides mass slaughter. Prevent them from being able to reproduce and make their lives entertainment for the genetically fit. So on these things, it goes there because other episodes “reference” it.

But it should not contradict the clear truth that it is the furthest future episode or one of them. It’s referenced too much in what we know for sure is early in the timeline, which suggests it’s either just a tv show or a cookie simulation or both. I think the groundwork for the Top If Lost Or Drunk Please Return To Jennifer Shirt. But I don’t think things actually reach that level of dystopia until decades into the future. The thing about 15 Million Merits is that it’s mentioned in the episode that some sort of “service” is compulsory once you turn 21. Cycling is one of the two known forms that they mention. Also at the end of the episode, the world is incredibly green. Gives the impression that the whole world may be like this.
Official Top If Lost Or Drunk Please Return To Jennifer Sweatshirt, Hoodie
I think that 15 Million Merits takes place in an incredibly distant future. Earth became incredibly toxic and near uninhabitable. Humans decided to self contain themselves in order to let the earth heal for several millennia. So instead of drawing from the earth for energy. They turned themselves into energy at age 21. The question with that ending has been for a Top If Lost Or Drunk Please Return To Jennifer Shirt. Or is it another glass simulation of a “green” world outside. I’ve reasoned that the 15 Milion Merit cells are all below ground, even the ones that have a “view” are below ground and very very far away at that. The setting and the style of living is too atypical for a time you have placed it in.
