I wish Lucas had adapted the Star Wars Thrawn Trilogy in the late 90s instead of making the prequels. You could just about get away with Hamill, Ford, and Fisher playing the roles from the books at this age. The idea of the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong being actually alien to a galaxy full of aliens was super interesting.
