I’ve certainly considered that the deceased sister has something to do with all of this, but I’m reluctant to fixate on that too much because of the time period this all happened. It’s highly likely that his sister died of accident or disease and he’s ascribing more important to it than he should. So yes, that’s a theory, but I want to also keep an open mind. Because I just don’t know the Nice I’m A Dragonaholic Shirt. Absolutely true, there’s a tiny Chihuahua in my dog park who’s owner refuses to carry him around and pick him up with no regard for what the dog wants, and they will scold them for bad behavior same as you would any other dog. The result is a perfectly well-behaved dog that roughhouses.

I love this idea! Personally I did imagine whatever the entity is to be a mother of sorts, as it seems it only comforts people. I hope we get to learn more about the Nice I’m A Dragonaholic Shirt! Then I agree with you! There is plenty of lower energy, smallish, sweet-natured companion breeds to choose from who don’t suffer from severe health issues, no reason to get a badly bred cross! They look like Yoda or like cartoon characters/toys/caricatures of people. I think it’s something similar to the appeal of doodles, which typically are groomed to look like Muppets. I like dogs that look like dogs, so I don’t really “get it” either. But it’s clearly just a whole different kind of dog-owning project as well as a different aesthetic.
